BeautyLove - Biotherm 3 product review

When swapping products recently, my friend gave me a set of samplers of Biotherm's Biosource and Aquasource range in addition to the goodies I got. Trying them out at home I was fairly impressed and really think about getting some of them myself. Especially the toning cleanser was really great! So here are my reviews on three of Biotherm's products.

Biotherm Biosource - Hydra Mineral Cleanser Toning Mousse 23€
Out of the three I tried, I really liked this the most. The product has a really nice soft green colour and has this typical cucumber-like scent most of the zinc formulated products have. If you like these kind of smells, this product is definitely something for you! When applying and massaging the product into the skin, the pasty consistency turns into this wonderful soft mousse. It is very gentle and feels so nice that I could have kept massaging my face for hours. After reluctantly washing it all off my face it felt fresh, cleansed and very soft.

Biotherm Biosource - Hydra Mineral toning water 19€
I guess I don't have to talk a lot about it's colour, consistency or smell. It is all just like all the other cleansing waters. For I don't usually use them I couldn't really make out the difference to other cleansers. Maybe it was a little less agressive than other ones I used before, so it is definitely very gentle.

Biotherm Aquasource - Cool Hydrating water gel (oil free) 33€
I finished off my whole Biotherm skin pampering session with the Hydrating water gel. I really liked this product even though I think that it was a bit too rich for my skin (I have normal skin). So I guess this one is perfect for dry skin and oily skin. After applying it to my face my skin feels very soft, silky and of course hydrated!

I would really recommend all of these to everyone who searches for better but not peccably expensive skin care products. Especially the Cleansing mousse was really nice. I hope that this review helped you out! ;-)

Stylespired - Charlotte Casiraghi

As the granddaughter of Hollywood legend Grace Kelly, it is no wonder that Charlotte Casiraghi is fashion royalty. Talking about her direction of style she is definitely the queen of preppy. She loves clear lines and cuts. Also the princess would rather combine black and white with minimal light pastel tones than being too daring with colours. As a horse rider she definitely loves wearing riding gear inspired clorhing such as riding boots and pants also in private. I love how her style is simple but fashionable with a minimal of accessories. During the day she pulls off great looks and always reminds me of a Ralph Lauren model. Going out or on events she reaches out for the little (or long) black dress, accessorizing it with just the right amount of jewellry.

As always I picked out some of my favourite looks for you guys to check her out!

This is a typical charlotte look. She looks preppy and chic as always.

I love this look so much! Charlotte combines a lovely ballet-ish dress with bold
black heels and black accessories!

Charlotte with her boyfriend. I love that loose kind of boho-esque blouse she wears
together with them white pants - lovely!

This outfit is very edgy, cool and typical French chic. As most of the time it's not too
bright in colour and very classy!
I really love her floral dress and that she only accessorized it with a bracelet and a ring. The
colour of the dress matches her skin tone perfectly.

BeautyLove - Rimmel London - Lash Accelerator Mascara review

After my probably 20th Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara came to an end a few days ago, I got the feeling that it's time for something new. Though I really love the Volum' Express I felt like a change was necessary. So I browsed the web for reviews and top 10s of mascaras and found a post on Fleur's blog (which I really like to read, check it out, it's awesome) about the best & worst drugstore mascaras. The lash accelerator was the one that caught my eye because it looked best to me. So today I went and got it for 9,90€ at my local drugstore.

The special thing about this mascara is that it has some sort of lash growth collagene in it's formula where I don't know yet if it is true but I will definitely report on that after using it for a while. The wand is very thin, tapered and consists of rubber. I like how small it because you easily catch your baby lashes that may be missed out with a bigger wand. All in all the aim of the mascara is to lengthen your lashes to a full of 80%. I was of course really curious about this because barely any drugstore mascara was able to achieve that for me yet without totally spiderlegging your lashes within three coats. So when I came home I took it out of my bag and tried it out and I was AMAZED! This mascara is so good!

Not only does it lengthen your lashes immediately it kind of gives you this great definition. Even after applying two more coats there was no clumping, no disgusting sticking, nothing like that. It built up the length of your lashes leaving them looking amazing! What I also liked is that that the lashes were still flexible after the mascara dried (which happened very quickly). That's because the formula also involves bamboo extract that keeps your lashes moisturized and flexible. Also it has a really nice hold, there was no flaking, smuding or detrioration in shape. The only maybe a bit negative thing is that it isn't available in waterproof, but therefore it comes off nicely with only a few wipes of the pad. Definitely a great mascara I recommend everyone of you to buy!

Thought of the day - Handwritten letters should come back in fashion

Of course e-mails are more convenient. Still nothing beats the feeling of receiving a letter in the mail though. Handwritten scentences on lovely paper have just so much more style. I wish we would all go back to writing and posting letters ourselves. Then maybe, who knows, love letters will be back in fashion someday too? :)

WithLove - Little helpers on a grey day

Isn't it a well known scenario? You feel whimsical and kind of moody. It seems as if everyone is against you or that you are all by yourself. Nothing really keeps you going and all you really want to do is stay in bed and hide from the world. To crown it all it's rainy and cold outside. We all had one of these days before. Sometimes we then try to push ourselves into a good mood. But that isn't really necessary. You don't have to be chipper and cheerful 24/7. In order to still enjoy these kind of days I created a little list on how to survive bad days!

Stay at home and cancel everything
Going out on a bad day is only a good idea if you meet with a person you know will be comforting you and uplift your mood. Don't meet up with annoying or too talkative people who won't considerate how you feel. When having a bad day it's okay to stay at home in your safe environment. If you planned on meeting up with a good friend, tell them how you feel and ask them to come over with a bag of cookies and a good movie.

Wear a big hoodie
There is little more comforting than a big snug hoodie. It's like being constantly hugged and creates such a safe nice feeling. Maybe make it a colourful one to cheer yourself up a little more.

Drink a cup of tea
The hot warm fuzzy feeling you get inside will spend instant comfort and relaxation. Chai Tea is the perfect brew to uplift your mood and make you feel better because it contains many natural herbs and spices that naturally let you release serotonine, the happy hormone. Also have a cookie along with it.

Write it downIf you feel upset for no reason, it's often recommended to just write down how and what you feel because there are probably too many unspoken things inside yourself. Don't think about what you write just write down what comes to your mind and you will be surprised what thinks come up.

Watch your favourite movie
Doing that can work miracles! For we associate so many great feelings with our favourite films our head reminds these and releases these feelings thanks to our good old friend hypothalamus which is also responsible for all other moods. Just tuck in your favourite flick and enjoy yourself. Also have some popcorn along with it for the extra comfort.

Stop feeling bad about feeling bad
Nobody's perfect and everyone has these kinds of days. Simply allow yourself to be like that and you will see that your good mood will return quicker than you thought. Just let it happen and comfort yourself like you would a friend if they were not okay.

Be very nice with yourself
What do all the nice words in the world help when you don't tell them to yourself? If you feel unhappy, comfort yourself and tell yourself that everything will be better tomorrow and that for now it's okay to feel that way. The last thing you need on a grey day is you telling yourself what a drag you are.

Disappear for the day
Stay away from facebook or your phone. Devote the whole day only to yourself and spoil yourself the best you can. You can easily afford to stay away from the world for a day.

Stylespired - Fearne Cotton

Fearne Cotton is a steady part of the UK media whether on TV or on BBC Radio 1. The quirky presenter is not only known for numerous shows on TV and Radio 1 also her style provides her additional good reputation in the press. Fearne is very creative when it comes to dressing up and happy to try out new combinations and accessories. Talking colours Fearne is a master in combining the weirdest mixes and still make them look great! Even thought she is well aware of every latest trend she still doesn't join every hype. She rather takes a few trends and blends one of them into her personal look. For everything is allowed in London the city of cool fashion, she loves to play with different colours styles and match them all together into great ensembles. Whatever she feels like is what she wears and the paparazzi of fashion magazines love her for that.

She is cool, chic and brave with styling. She never appears too intentional and her combinations always have at least one colourful piece to them. I went through Fearnes candids and picked out some of my personal favourites of her looks.

For more information here's a video of Fearne sharing personal
tips and tricks and talking about her style:

With love - Love yourself, you are amazing!

Way too many people look into their mirrors and see someone they are not happy with.
They don't even question it though. For many not liking yourself is something  natural.
They say things like 'Noone is actually happy with themselves' and they totally believe it.
But why is that? When did we start to become so critical with the way we look or even are?
I want to tell you that I do not really believe in things like people who were born with a
bad character or born with an ugly face. Especially optical matters are things our society
has created. The media keeps telling us we are not good enough on a daily basis.
Our relatives and other people we know see this and instantly believe it, because
if the media says it, it obviously has to be true *sarcasm* and then they tell us why
we aren’t good enough. And on and on goes a huge vicious circle of in my opinion
really mean and bad psychological tricks only to make big money by selling products
or services.

Also no one was born with a bad character. Every child loves appreciation and love,
if it doesn't get it the child is basically lost. Often the child only gets its appreciation
when doing criminal things because they are surrounded by a certain group of people.
I believe that there are way too little means to create happy and healthy people
compared to the billions of cash invested in companies that are simply there to
make more cash. I think it's totally sad. Even though we have so much we feel unhappy.
I can promise you that many poor people are probably happier without all the stuff
we are surrounded by (Media, technical progress, daily comforts). They are far closer
to life than we are.

We constantly get told that we have to be better, prettier and more intelligent. Only
very little parts of the media tell us for once that we are actually good enough the way
we are. That we don't need the newest car, a new nose or the newest lipstick in order
to be good enough. I really hope that one day the media will tell us that we actually
are good enough the way we are. That we don't have to change anything about ourselves
and just live our lives in acceptance rather than in the endless search for happiness
and perfection.

The good thing is that you can start by yourself to tell yourself you are good enough.
You can actually yourself look into the mirror and instead of pointing out your
blemishes just tell yourself that you are okay the way you are. You can then tell
yourself what you like about yourself. See. This is so important because you will
never get rid of you. You will always have yourself by your side so you really want to
befriend that person. You wouldn't tell your friend that she is ugly or if she tells you
how she looks you wouldn't tell her "Oh my god! Did you see your bum? Do you really
want to leave the house with that? And your hair is awful today" I think your friend
will probably no longer stay your friend.

The same thing counts for you. If you keep telling yourself how great you are you
will start to feel great because treating yourself well leads to feeling better.
I you keep telling yourself how awful you are you will probably not end up very happy.
Just stop telling yourself your blemishes. Talk to yourself like you would talk to a friend.
Instead of telling yourself "Ew that spot ruins my whole face" tell yourself "Well it's there
now and I'm just putting some make up on. I'm great anyways" Just talk positively to
yourself and you will notice how better you feel about yourself.

So start pointing out what’s good about you instead of what's bad -
because you are amazing! :)
Never forget that.

FashionLove - Classy Basics 101 - A pair of ballet flats

Ballet flats are not only versatile but are also available in a great variety of colours, shape and style. Us women love ballet flats because they are comfy and give us that extra classy look (at least when worn the right way). Not every pair does that for you though. ;-) If you want to maintain a classy look stay away from flats that are too sporty like those from "Skechers" or "Crocs". A nice black, nude or cognac coloured pair of flats with maybe a bow on the tip flatters almost every outfit and is definitely a great fashion essential for your closet.

What to wear with ballet flats:
+ Shorts
+ capri pants
+ skinny jeans
+ skirts and dresses
+ leggings

Strolling around flea market "Naschmarkt" Vienna, AT

This gorgeous bird cage is definitely one of my favourite things I saw today! It is so darling and adorable :) I didn't buy it though.. Wouldn't know what to do with it and it was 30 €

This picture was just lying around like that. It shows the owner of booth with her deceased husband. I love how almost all of the antiquities have their own story.

Most of the jewellry at this booth originate from the early 30s and late 20s! I got an original 30s necklace here - so psyched about it :)

Fresh herbs! All of these are mints. Chocolate mint on the very left kept me wondering.. Would love to know if it really has a chocolatey flavour. Orange- and Peppermint sound good to.

I got this beautiful handmade basket for 5 € only! It is sooo adorable and I will definitely bring it when strolling around shopping in the city or at a market!

I got this necklace from one of the booths and it originates from the early 30s. It is a real treasure and so pretty. Definitely not too stale and very versatile :) I love it a lot!

Thoughts on - Harry Potter 7 part 2

With the last Harry Potter movie, an era ends! I am so grateful to J.K. Rowling for the great books she wrote and the amazing films that came along with them :) I was and am a kid of the Harry Potter generation and I'm proud of that. I remember when I was ten years old when watching the first Harry Potter movie in 2001 and reading the first book afterwards. It was all so magical and special. The characters became dear to my heart throughout the years, even if I was not that much of a fan I still watched the movies and read the books. Harry Potter books and movies enchanted us and took us into a world in which we learned to be courageous, that it doesn't matter who you are and how you look. That the only thing that matters is that you are pure at heart and never stop believing in yourself.

I still need to find someone to watch the movie with me though! :) Think I'm gonna ask around - I HAVE to watch it in theatre. It's way too epic to watch at home on the computer. Have fun watching the movie and if you have already write me how you thought it was! :) I bet I'm going to shed a lot of tears. Can't wait!!

BeautyLove - Summer Essentials

Remember when I bleated about the stormy rainy weather that stayed in town for about a week? Well that's finally over and we have beautiful sunshine! Not a single cloud in the sky and finally the good ol' summer heat! Now that it's finally here I feel inspired enough to write about my personal summer essentials!

Protected skin
Alright this is nothing groundbreaking but still there are so many people who just don't care enough for their skin and end up looking like lobster. A sunburn doesn't only hurt, it is also dangerous! For all those who search for a sunscreen that protects your skin and still allows you to have a tan I recommend the Garnier Ambre Solaire Sun Protection. Not only does it protect your skin, it also hydrates it and smells absolutely divine. The good thing about ambre solaire is that it comes in different styles from sprays to cremes and oils all types of sunscreens are available. They may be a bit on the more pricey side but they are definitely worth the money.

Summer hair care
During summer we do many things that can stress out our hair. So I think it's important to care extra much for it because you locks can be easily dried out through chloride, too much sun and ocean water. The best way to protect your hair from all the damage are good conditioners and sun protection sprays with UV protection! In my opinion the best product range for that is "Redken - UV rescue". The products smell great and they keep your hair healthy, shiny and protected.

Quick, natural make-up routine
I love natural make up looks and never been a fan of overdone faces, but I think especially in summer you want to go for a quick natural look. When hanging at the beach or at the pool side the last thing you want is runny make up. So just go for tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 instead of your regular foundation, waterproof mascara, subtle eyeshadow and lipgloss or lipbalm with SPF 15. The same works for pool or beach parties.

Olay, Definity Color Recapture, tinted moisturizer, 24$
Maybelline, Volume Colossal waterproof mascara 13 $
Philosophy, Supernatural Superglossy, SPF 15 16 $

A nice tan
For I don't really like self-tanners I love summertime because it's the time when I always get my gradual bronzy hue. For those who don't get a tan that easily there are great products out there to protect your skin and enhance the tanning at the same time! My favourite product for that is the Piz Buin Tan Intensifier Lotion with SPF 15. Not only it enhances your tanning it also smells super nice! (around 13 $ depends on retailer)

Nice Summer Hairstyles
One of the many reasons why I love summer so much is because you can be playfulwith your hair again! Flowers, braids, Feathers everything is allowed! Messy beach waves with braids is my all time favourite hairstyle! But you can just as well put your hair up in a bun and accessorize it with a nice flower. For messy beach hair there are also great products on the market! The best is still the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. It gives your locks this nice volumized tousled beach look that you usually only get after a nice swim in the ocean. At the same time it moisturizes your hair! Really a great product for around 18$ a bit pricey but definitely worth a buy.

Stylespired - Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) Glee

Glee is one of my favourite shows to watch lately. I know I'm kind of late, but I never really understood the hype about it until I was forced to watch a few episodes together with a friend of mine and now I can't get enough of it! My all time favourite character is Emma Pillsbury, the quirky red headed school councellor with an overly obsessive cleaning disorder, who won all of our hearts with her fragile but adorable personality. Her style is also definitely one of my most favourite on the show and proves how much love the producers put in each of the characters.

Emma's style is mostly 50's inspired and very darling. It mostly consists of cardigans, skirts and blouses. She always dresses very classy and the pieces are almost always in bright colours. The looks are playful but not too overdone and the ensembles always look orderly and clean. (No grungy looks with miss sanitizer and plastic gloves) I really fell in love with her look and so I picked out some of my favourite outfits of Emma.

I love this gorgeous apple green/white sweater, which is probably from Anthropologie (where 80% of the female Glee wardrobe is from. I love how cute and detailed it is. Combined with the yellow bracelet and the golden watch this makes a beautiful darling look.

A typical Emma look. She combines a coffee brown cardigan with a white blouse along with a patterned skirt. Very typical is the sweater guard with black flowers at both ends. Emma Pillsbury clips many of those at her cardigan or simply on a blouse.
Bows are also very typical for Emma. In each episode you can be pretty sure you find at least one bow  in one of the outfits.
Emmas winter wardrobe is always very doll-like. When it's winter in Glee she almost always wears a thick colorful trench from Juicy Couture or Anthropologie together with a matching knitted brret.
This is one of my favourite cardigans of Emmas wardrobe. It is so cute with it's red buttons and the little black eiffel towers. This one also has a bow on it - So adorable!
These were a few of her adorable pieces. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of what she wore when she and Will kissed for the first time. I really loved the green Juicy Couture trench she wore. I hope I could inspire you a little and if you love Emma's style as much as I do, give it a try!

What you need for Emmas style:
+ Bright colours
+ Cardigans
+ Sweater Guards
+ Shortsleeved Blouses
+ Bows (in all varieties from earrings to details on clothing)
+ knee lengthed skirts
+ Mary Jane shoes or Ballet flats
+ plastic gloves & sanitizer :-)
